Whenever I mention ClickFunnels to people, they always return to me with more questions like, will I get more leads if I start using ClickFunnels? Will I earn more from it? Or something along those lines…
I can’t blame them. ClickFunnels does market itself as something that can boost your business leads and sales once you start using the platform.
As someone who's used ClickFunnels for years and still does until now, I can say it doesn’t exactly work like that.
In fact I recently earned my 2 Comma Club Award from ClickFunnels, and I feel now is the time to give my honest review of it.

A sales funnel is a series of steps a visitor goes through to engage and nurture them into becoming a paying customer. It’s likened to a sales process, only ClickFunnels makes it easier to automate the steps.

What People Use Clickfunnels For
Any landing page that you can think of, you can make with ClickFunnels. It usually all boils down to one of these...
Launch New Products
ClickFunnels have a lot of templates for single landing pages for product launches. The best part is you can insert a form at the bottom that allows them to submit their information or for you to take payment directly in the ClickFunnels platform.
Build an E-Commerce Website
Before ClickFunnels, e-commerce businesses only had WordPress as the decent option to build a website with. And even with WordPress, you need to use other widgets and plugins to create an e-commerce website specifically. ClickFunnels made that easier by not requiring intensive coding knowledge to create an e-commerce website complete with shopping cart integrations and order form features.
Host Online Courses
You can host membership sites within ClickFunnels, which means you can use it for teaching exclusive online courses to paying members.
Build an Email List
Building an email list is easier said than done. However, with how focused ClickFunnels is on high conversion, their customizable opt-in templates have proven effective in building email lists faster than using other methods or platforms.
Other Ways People Use Clickfunnels
Any kind of landing page that brings a user down a funnel, from being a mere page visitor to a paying customer, is what Clickfunnels is about.
Clickfunnels Top Features Review
Clickfunnels get a really good reputation for having advanced features that get the job done. Here I will review the top ones that get the most complimentary reviews:
Wide Selection of Templates AND Elements
ClickFunnels do have a wide selection of both templates and elements, but I’ll be honest as to say that I rarely ever used the templates they offer for the reason that I have a specific format that I like.
Even without my own format, I think the templates are good only as a guide. With ClickFunnels being widely used nowadays, the templates can look too templated and can be off-putting for your target audience for lack of personalization.
As for elements, I have close to no complaints at all. The one that’s most useful for me is, of course, the forms. I’ve used them for opt-ins, sales, and lead generation, and almost every time, good qualified contacts come through.
ClickFunnels can be integrated with a lot of external softwares and platforms. This is how you can really take advantage of automation. The API integrations allows ClickFunnels to trigger email campaigns, ad targeting, and other marketing efforts you have.
Related to integrations are payment gateways, which allow Clickfunnels to process payments through other platforms like Stripe, Clickbank, etc.
A/B testing is an important tool in every marketing strategy – emails, ads, websites, sales pages, etc. In ClickFunnels, A/B testing is how I was able to drill down on the format and the type of copy that I use most of the time now through figuring out which ones my audience engages with and responds to the most.
The sales analytics feature lets you keep track of your customers’ data in one platform. Where leads are coming from, what are they responding to or buying, which version of your A/B test is getting better results.
Clickfunnels have an integrated sales analytics feature that lets you see all of this in one place. Personally, I did not get hooked into checking this as much as I did with my FB ads results, but it’s a good feature to keep track of your progress and the results of your sales funnels nonetheless.
Sharing Sales Funnels
This feature is most useful for people or marketing agencies that make sales funnels for other entrepreneurs and businesses. You could create a funnel and share that with your clients, and earn money this way from Clickfunnels.
I personally haven’t tried this but I see how Clickfunnels used this to help other people earn money through their platform.
Some people build out entire businesses off of affiliate programs, and Clickfunnels offers a good one at that. This is another way to earn from Clickfunnels and it seems to be helpful for users because they can earn on the side since they use and advocate Clickfunnels anyway.
Pros & Cons
If you want a quick overview and want an easy verdict on ClickFunnels, these are the pros and cons that most people agree on...
Things You Should Consider
There are direct pros and cons to any platform, but I have to include here some things that are not necessarily a determined positive or negative about ClickFunnels. These are some concerns or comments that a lot of people have raised that may either be an added benefit or a deal breaker for you.
The way ClickFunnels markets itself sends a misleading message. It implies that your business will get more leads and sales just by using ClickFunnels.
Some users also tend to reinforce this excessively, especially on the ClickFunnels Facebook group, which is slowly reaching 500,000 members.
In effect, beginners may focus more on the technical side of building sales funnels, and disregard the process of making a good product or business first.
Oversaturating features and learning products
A critique about ClickFunnels is that it gets bloated with too many features.
In addition, they also have FunnelFlix which is full of learning resources and courses.
This means there’s a high learning curve to be able to build really advanced sales funnels.
In effect, beginners just tends to fall back on following Russell Brunson’s own marketing techniques.
To this, I make sure to clear it up with people who ask me about ClickFunnels that it’s really just a landing page and sales funnel builder.
Tread lightly in this case and make your own decisions based on what works for you.
How Much Does ClickFunnels Cost in 2020?
As you’ll see here, there’s a big gap in pricing packages. There’s a big jump in pricing if you need more advanced features, but features in the lowest package applies to the higher packages as well. It all adds up!

Who is ClickFunnels Recommended For?
ClickFunnels is really built for entrepreneurs and small businesses that don’t have the resources and access to technology like big companies do.
Startups and small companies can have big potential to thrive in their market, even if they have bigger competition.
My Final Verdict
ClickFunnels in itself is a good tool and marketing solution, especially for new entrepreneurs, small businesses, marketing agencies, and startups. It’s good on its word that it can help increase your leads and sales, BUT not without having a good product or service first.
To be honest, you can do so much and sell more if you start simple and make use of even just the forms and other conversion-focused elements.
