Whoa: A Business Card Worthy Of A Blog Post

I hate business cards.  I think they are 2000-late.  If you want powerful low cost impressions, you can get them at a lower cost to a more targetted audience for pennies on Facebook.

If I want to look a business up, I’ll just go into Google.  I don’t have a roll-a-dex of business cards, and quite frankly they just clutter up my life.

But for some ungodly reason they are still a staple of the business world in 2018.  Everyone expects you to have one.  And everyone expects you to accept theirs when they hand it to you.  So for that reason I still get them.  And I still (rarely) distribute them.  I really wish it would though.

As a marketer, I do take a glimpse at the business cards I’m handed before I toss them.  99.99999% of the time it is just to mock them in my mind.  This one however caught my attention.

The front shows the face of Shariff Hassan, Owner Operator of Lexpert Automotive Inc, along with your typical business information.

The back… well it’s got the back side side of Mr. Hassan’s head, and the info in reverse.

haha, kind of catchy, right?

Now I’m not in the market for any Lexus or Toyota repairs, but here’s how this card came into my hands.  One of my sales guys (at the local home service business I own), went out to do an estimate for a customer.  My sales guy drives a Toyota 4 runner.  Some how in his chat with the customer, his Toyota and repairs came up… and they handed him this card.  Of course, knowing my obsession with marketing and disdain for business cards, he passed the card on to me.
